We first connected with Silver Buckle through our local equestrian community. As we learned more about their organization and the work they are doing with young people and horses, we discovered a mission that connects beautifully with so much of what matters to us.

About Silver Buckle
Silver Buckle Youth Equestrian Center is a nonprofit organization in Brush Prairie, Washington, dedicated to positively impacting lives through equine-related activities.
​
Their history in the community reaches back to 1977, when the organization began as the Silver Buckle Rodeo Club. Over the years, it has grown and evolved into an equestrian center focused on providing opportunities for young people to learn, grow, and develop through their experiences with horses.

More Than Riding
There is so much that horses can teach us beyond what happens in the saddle.
Through both riding and non-riding equine experiences, Silver Buckle helps young people develop qualities such as confidence, responsibility, trust, compassion, empathy, communication, and respect.
​
Working with horses requires patience. It requires awareness. It teaches responsibility for another living being and provides opportunities for young people to learn about themselves along the way.
​
Those are lessons that can follow a young person far beyond the barn.
Opportunities to Learn and Grow
Silver Buckle creates opportunities for youth to experience horses in many different ways.

Through equestrian programs, lessons, camps, equine experiences, community activities, and other opportunities, young people can develop horsemanship skills while building confidence and meaningful connections.
Whether a child becomes a lifelong equestrian or simply carries the lessons learned from a horse into the rest of their life, those experiences can leave an impact.
